Uganda Visa – East Africa Tourists Visa : Rwenzori Expeditions.

Visas

Nearly all visitors require a visa for Uganda, and while certain nationalities can get one on arrival, many others will have to get one in advance. Check on the official website for ( https://visas.immigration.go.ug/) Visa application in Uganda.

East Africa Tourist Visa

Uganda is one of the countries covered by the East Africa Tourist Visa and for those also visiting Kenya and Rwanda. on the same trip it is a cheaper alternative. The visa costs US$100, is valid for 90 days and is multiple entry – it is available upon arrival or from embassies abroad. If acquiring the visa before travel, your first port-of-call must be the country through which you applied for the visa.

The East Africa Tourist Visa allows entry to Rwanda, Uganda and Kenya. Applications should be made in advance with the country to be entered first.  Once an online application is approved, the visa can be collected upon arrival at Entebbe  International Airport.

Requirement for Uganda Visa or East African Tourists Visa

Before you fill out the application form, you need to make sure that you meet all the requirements. Even so, rest assured that the Uganda visa policy, will ask very little of you. Here is what you need:

  • Valid passport – all applicants must be passport holders, and the passport needs to remain valid for at least another 6 months from your date of arrival in Uganda.
  • Copy of your passport’s information page.
  • A passport-sized photo – the more recent, the better.
  • Vaccination certificate for Yellow Fever – if you do not get immunized against Yellow Fever, you will be subjected to vaccination when you arrive in Uganda. Depending on the case, some quarantine measures will be taken. Children under 5 years old must also be immunized against Polio.

The requirements above apply if you travel for tourism in Uganda. A transit visa also requires a letter that states the transit reasons and the destination country, and the East Africa Visa an itinerary and a return flight ticket.
