Kibale Forest national Park - Known for its primates as it hosts over 13 primates within the Uganda, its mostly visited for the chimpanzee watching , birding and nature walks . It is home to a large number of endangered chimpanzees, as well as the red colobus monkey (status: Endangered) and the rare L'Hoest's monkey and its managed by Uganda Wildlife authority. Kibale National Park is protecting moist evergreen rain forest covering 766 square kilometres (296 sq mi) in size and ranges between 1,100 metres (3,600 ft) and 1,600 metres (5,200 ft) in elevation. Kibale National Forest has one of the highest diversity and concentration of primates in Africa. When you decide to visit the chimpanzees in Kibale Forest National Park ,you stand a chance of successful tracking rates of 90% to see the chimpanzees compared to other destinations like Kalinzu forest , Kyambura George which also host the Chimpanzees.
Queen Elizabeth National Park: The Best known destination for its tree climbing lions in the ishasha sector, the Queen Elizabeth national park was renamed after the visit by the late Queen of England Elizabeth. its located in the western part of Uganda close to Kibale Forest National park and good for connecting to Kibale forest or Bwindi for the next gorilla trekking experiences in the wilderness of Uganda with Rwanda Safaris . Queen Elizabeth National park is known for its abundant wildlife like African elephant, African buffalo, Ugandan kob, hippopotamus, topi, water buck, warthog, giant forest hog, Nile crocodile, leopard, spotted hyena, chimpanzee and lion. Overall, the park is home to 95 mammal species and over 600 bird species, sharing its border with Virunga National Park in Congo that also has the wildlife and gorillas.
Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is located in the southwestern part of Uganda close to Virunga National Park in Democratic Republic of the Congo at the edge of the Albertine Rift. It provides habitat for 120 species of mammals, 350 species of birds, 310 species of butterflies, 27 species of frogs, chameleons, geckos, and many endangered species. When it comes to visits to Bwindi impenetrable National Park, Rwanda Safaris recommended mostly 2 special activities that is gorilla trekking and gorilla habituation . Volcanoes National Park Rwanda: is situated in northwestern Rwanda sharing its boundaries with Democratic republic of Congo's Virunga National Park and Uganda's Mgahinga National Park.It encompasses five of the eight volcanoes in the Virunga Mountains, namely Karisimbi, Bisoke, Muhabura, Gahinga and Sabyinyo. Volcanoes National Park will be the last destination to be visited for the gorilla trekking experience before embarking on the drive to Kigali for the city tour and flight back home.
