Itinerary

Day 1:  Transfer  to Nyungwe Forest National Park

After Morning breakfast in kigali, you will be picked up by the Rwanda Safaris guide and start on the drive to connect to Nyungwe forest national Park which is the best primates , along the way you will have various stops to see the various tourists attraction and cultural sites , Genocide memorials and proceed to the arrive in Nyungwe forest national park in the late Evening .

Note: This National Park is managed by African Parks and it has introduced park entrance which is determined by the number of nights in the Park .  This price is added on the activity your undertaking .

Day 2: Primate Trekking via the colobus trails in Nyungwe Forest.

After morning breakfast, you will head to the park headquarter for the briefing about the primate trekking in the wilderness of Nyungwe forest national park. During the trekking experience, you will spot a number of species including over 200 tree species and other 13 primate species like the colobus monkeys, vervet monkeys, and the red-tailed monkeys. During your good time with the chimps, you will enjoy their daily lifestyles like feeding, playing and others.

From the trek, you will drive back to the lodge for lunch and refreshment and later go for a canopy walk where you will spot several species like birds, insects, butterflies and some primate species.

Day 3: Chimpanzee tracking in Nyungwe.

Wake up early with your packed breakfast and move to the briefing area where you will be told the dos and Don’ts during the experience. The forest consists two main trail heads where chimpanzee trekking is done. Among these include Uwinka trail and at Cyamudongo section. After  you will enter the forest to search for the chimpanzee tracking you will head back to the lodge .

Option visit to the Tea Plantation around Nyungwe forest National Park.

Day 4: Transfer Volcanoes National park

After morning breakfast at the lodge , you will start on the drive to connect to Lake Kivu , enjoy  a simple boat cruise and later connect to Volcanoes National Park .

Day 5: Mountain Gorilla trekking

After Morning breakfast, you will leave the hotel and head direct to Volcanoes National Park headquarter for the briefing about the gorilla trekking rules and regulation. You will be grouped into 8 paxs and head to the starting point for the gorilla trekking in the magical Volcanoes National Park .

Gorilla Trekking in Volcanoes takes 3-6 hours depending on the gorilla family , After you will stay with the gorillas for one hour, and after you will return back to the lodge  for lunch.

Afternoon, you will to the Gorilla Guardian Village or Ellen De Generes Campus .

Day 6: Mount Bisoke Hike

Hiking Mount Bisoke & Transfer to Kigali Another final day in the Virunga Mountains ( Volcanoes National Park ) is to trek Bisoke Mountain with the experience of trekking to the top Mount Bisoke to see the craters and other vegetation covers of Volcanoes National park with experienced park ranger.  The Mountaineering to visoke will last for about 3- 4 hours in the trek and after return for lunch  before proceeding to drive to Kigali for flight back home.

Day 7: Transfer to Akagera National Park

After morning breakfast, you start off with drive to connect to Kigali for lunch , and later proceed to Akagera National Park.   Arrive in the late evening , check for dinner

Day 8:Game Drive & Boat Cruise

You will go for morning game drive where you will see various animals like Lions ,elephants, buffalos, giraffe, zebras, leopards, hyenas and antelopes like bush bucks, Topis, Oribis, water-buck, roan antelope and duiker, impala .  In the Afternoon you will go for the boat cruise on Lake Ihema where you will see various Bird and different wildlife such as crocodiles, hippos and others.  After, you will drive back to the lodge for relaxation, dinner and overnight.

Day 9: Departure

You will head for the morning break fast, you will go for morning game drive and as you plan to exist the park, drive to back to Kigali City . You will arrive in the late afternoon  you will be dropped at the airport for the flight back home.
