Itinerary
Day 1- Arrival at Kigali International Airport.
Upon Arrival at Kigali International Airport, You will be welcomed by the Rwanda Safaris guide and he will orient you about the country , the home of a thousand hills, travel plan and transfer you to the hotel for the relaxation. If time allows , you can visit the genocide memorials, craft shops and local markets. Later return to the hotel for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Transfer to Akagera National Park
You will wake up at 5;30am and set off to visit Akagera National park in Rwanda , the re known destination for the wildlife watching in the country. Its 2 hours drive from Kigali to Akagera national park . Upon arrival , you will take a morning game drive to search for the Big five animals like Lion , leopard, elephants, buffalos, and plenty of other animal will be seen , on the boat cruise and after noon go for boat ride along lake ihema to see crocodiles and hippos . If time allows, you will take a sun downer in the evening.

Day 3: Transfer to Kigali and connect to Volcanoes National Park.
You will exit the park and head to Kigali city where you will have your first stop, then proceed with the Kigali City tour to explore the other places that you missed out on day 1, Enjoy lunch and later set off for Volcanoes National park which is the home for the Mountain Gorillas, Golden Monkey, and other attractions. Volcanoes National Park is located in the virunga Massif which is shared between Rwanda, Uganda and Congo. Upon arrival at the hotel, you will be checked in hotel for dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Gorilla Trekking in Volcanoes & Visit Ellen De Generes Campus.
After Morning breakfast, you will head to the park headquarter for the briefing about the gorilla trekking rules and regulations, registration with the park offices as you enjoy your coffee. You will be split into groups of 8 pax and transfer to the starting point of your gorilla trekking. The gorilla trek takes around 3-5 hours depending on the size of the group and the travelers age, fitness. You will return to the lodge for hot lunch and later go for the visit to the Ellen De Generes campus for donations, and appreciation of the Dian Fossey conservation work. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 5: Second Gorilla Trekking in Volcanoes and Gorilla Guardian Village
After Morning breakfast, you will head to the park headquarter for the second briefing for the double gorilla trekking rules and regulations, registration. You will be split into groups of 8 pax and transfer to the starting point of your gorilla trekking and you will be visiting a different gorilla family for the comparison experience of the gorillas in the wilderness of Volcanoes National Park. and once you have found the gorillas, you will return and head for lunch, and after noon you will visit the Gorilla Guardian villages to learn about the Rwandan Culture and practices. Dinner and overnight as above
Day 6: Transfer to Lake Kivu
After breakfast at the lodge , you will start on the drive to connect to Lake Kivu which is shared between Rwanda and Democratic republic of Congo with in the Albertine Rift. Upon arrival at the hotel , you will be checked in and lunch the lunch , after you will go for the boat cruise on Lake Kivu. The Boat cruise will encompass a visit to various islands, and fishing villages, Scenic view of Nyiragongo Volcano in Congo. Return to the lodge for Dinner and overnight.

Day 7: Cycling in Gisenyi & Transfer to Kigali
After breakfast, you will go for the cycling on the bikes in the Gisenyi which will last for 2 hours and after return to the lodge to refresh on yourself before starting on the journey to drive back to Kigali , You will have lunch en route and arrive in the late evening . Transfer to the airport for flight back home .
