Day 1: Transfer from Kigali Airport to a hotel

Day 2: Depart Kigali for Volcanoes National Park
Enjoy your early morning breakfast and later, check out of the lodge ready to go for Kigali city tour. This lets you visit Gisozi genocide site, Kimironko market and closest historical sites. Lunch will be offered to you in a hotel in Kigali then you will be driven to Musanze to check in at your luxury gorilla lodge in Volcanoes National Park. In your luxury 4×4 safari vehicle, your journey will cover between 2 and 3 hours.

Day 3: 1st gorilla trekking in Volcanoes National Park
Day 3 of your 5 days Rwanda luxury gorilla safari will involve you rising up early. After, transfer to Kinigi to be briefed on guidelines for gorilla trekking and also to be allocated to 1 habituated gorilla family. At 8:00am, the park ranger guide that will be assigned to you will accompany you for a search for mountain gorillas and this will take about 2-6 hours which also covers 1 hour of magical encounter and photo taking. Expect to see other more primates, birds and a lot more then walk back to get your certificate for gorilla trekking then connect to your luxury gorilla safari lodge. You may also opt for afternoon communal activities or simply spend the rest of your evening relaxing and sharing your long day gorilla trekking experiences.

Day 4: 2nd gorilla trekking in Volcanoes National Park
Start your day with hefty breakfast and still transfer to Kinigi to be briefed on safety measures to be observed on gorilla trek. Today, you will be assigned to a different group in case you don’t want to go trek the previous gorilla family. Note, each gorilla group rewards trekkers with distinct experience. After your 2-6 hours’ trek and 1 hour of magical encounter, return to the lodge to chill.
In the evening, you will visit Iby’Iwacu Cultural Village to enjoy the Intore dances, music performances as well as have an in-depth exploration about the traditional practices of the Rwandese. After, get back to the lodge for relaxation, dinner and a night stay.

Day 5: Drive back to Kigali
