Day 2: Game drive and launch cruise
Have your early morning breakfast and later, you will go for a game drive via the savanna grassland of Akagera National Park. In your 4×4 luxury safari car, expect to spot lions, elephants, leopards, the Masai giraffes, impalas, buffaloes, rhinos, baboons, Oribis, gazelles, Burchell’s zebras and don’t forget bird species. Your game viewing experience may take you between 2 and 3 hours then drive back to your luxury lodge for lunch.
Your afternoon will be spent on a boat ride along Lake Ihema. This will reward you with amazing sight of hippos, crocodiles as they bask along the lake shores, aquatic bird life such as herons, shoebill storks, jacanas, pipers, ibis and a lot more.

Day 3: Transfer to Volcanoes National Park
Your trip to Volcanoes National Park will begin after breakfast and checking out of your luxury lodge in Akagera. Check into the luxury gorilla safari lodge in Volcanoes National Park for dinner and a night stay.

Day 4: Gorilla trekking in Volcanoes National Park
Get the best of your morning breakfast and later, you will be expected at briefing point for you to know the set rules and regulations for gorilla trekking. Make sure you have some packed lunch and bottled drinking water because this a trek to see mountain gorillas is ideally strenuous. It starts at 8:00am and it can cover about 2 to 6 hours.
Once you come across the gorilla family allocated to you, expect to spend about 1 hour of magical encounter. After, get back to your respective luxury safari lodge to relax as you wait to set off to the beautiful Twin Lakes; Lake Burera and Lake Ruhondo.

Day 5: Drive back to Kigali
Drive back to Kigali after breakfast and when you have checked out of your luxury lodge. Transfer to Kigali International Airport to fly back to your home country.
