3 Days Uganda Gorilla Tour

Itinerary

Day 1: Departure from Kigali and transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable national park

You will explore the Magical Rwanda and Uganda on 3 Days Bwindi Gorilla Safari, you will be welcomed by Rwanda Safaris guide/driver who will shortly brief you about the Uganda Gorilla safari as you go for a city excursion to visit places like the genocide memorial site, the national museum, local markets and others.

You will have an enroute lunch and proceed with the drive to Bwindi Impenetrable national park of Uganda. The park is known for protecting more than half of the world’s mountain gorillas and it is reached after crossing the Katuna border. Arrive at the park in the late afternoon hours and check in at the hotel of your booking for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Gorilla trekking experience and transfer to Lake Bunyonyi

Wake up for your breakfast and drive to the park headquarters for registration and briefing about the dos and don’ts of gorilla trekking experience. After, you will be assigned to the gorilla family to trek and you will be led by a park ranger through the park rain forests. During the trail through the forests, you will enjoy the breathtaking vegetation cover as you spot several species like birds, insects, butterflies, primates and small mammals.

On finding the mountain gorillas, you will be allowed to spend an hour in their presence as you enjoy their lifestyles like playing, breastfeeding and others. After, you will move back to the starting point for your trekking certificates and then to the lodge for lunch. From lunch, you will drive to Lake Bunyonyi the world’s deepest lake for a thrilling boat cruise.

You will arrive at the lake in the late afternoon hours and then go for a 2 hours boat cruise where you will spot a number of bird species and some animals along the lake shores. Later, drive to the accommodation of your booking for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Golden Monkey Tracking in Mgahinga & Transfer back to Kigali

You will wake up very early in the morning and drive to connect to Mgahinga national Park for the golden monkey tracking in the magical Mgahinga National Park the home for the primates.

During the briefing, you will be told the rules and regulations governing the activity and after you will move to the thick rain forests to search the apes.

You will start on the trek to search for the monkeys which are unique creatures that are classified as endangered species, you may take around 3-4 hours to find them and once you come face to face with the golden monkeys, you will take one hour taking photos and videos as you watch them play, feed.

Wake up for your late breakfast and prepare for your transfer back to Kigali international airport for your departure flight or drop off at the hotel of your choice for the overnight.
