Itinerary
Day 1: Transfer from Kigali to Bukavu near Kahuzi Biega national park.
Upon your arrival at Kigali International airport, meet up with your safari driver and set off to drive to Bukavu town via Nyungwe forest national park which is the primate home for the chimpanzees, shared between Rwanda and Burundi, you will have en route stop at the museum at butare and even for lunch, later proceed to drive to the Rwanda Congo Border and be cleared at Rusizi one to enter Congo.
Brief Facts:
Bukavu is a city in eastern Democratic Republic of the Congo, lying at the extreme south-western edge of Lake Kivu, west of Cyangugu in Rwanda, and separated from it by the outlet of the Ruzizi River. It is the capital of the South Kivu province and as of 2012 it had an estimated population of 806,940.

Day 2: Lowland gorilla trekking.
You will have breakfast at the hotel and and then transfer to the park headquarters for briefing and registration about lowland gorilla trekking in the East of Congo. You will drive from the park headquarter to the gorilla trekking start point and enter into the forest to search for the gorillas. If you booked Habituation type , you will stay with the gorillas for 3-4 hours and if you booked trekking, you will stay with them for 1 hour !
After the gorilla watching in Kahuzi Biega National Park , You will start on the drive back to Bukavu Hotel , where you may take a simple city tour if time allows . We don't recommend independent movement from the hotel without your guide!
Day 3: Transfer back to Kigali.
After breakfast at 8;30am , you will head to cross the border back to Rwanda with the Payment of the Rwanda Visa at 30-50$ and start on the drive to Kigali.
You will stop on Nyanza Palace center for cultural experiences and later proceed with the journey to Kigali international Airport for your departure flight back home.
