2 Days Uganda Gorilla Trekking

Itinerary

Day 1: Pick up from Kigali and transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable national park

You will be welcomed the guide from Rwanda Safaris and start on the adventure to explore what the land of thousand hills has to offer , you will visit the local markets in Kigali , Genocide memorials and proceed to drive to cross the border via Cyanika border to connect to Uganda's town of Kisoro where you will visit a view of the crater lakes within the region before heading to the lodge for check in.

If your trekking the gorilla in Bwindi , upon crossing the border you will proceed to drive to Rushaga Sector which is the sector that is mostly known for gorilla Habituation experiences , You will check in at the lodge

Day 2: Gorilla trekking experience and transfer back to Kigali

Have your early breakfast at the lodge and go with your packed lunch to the park headquarters for registration and briefing about the gorilla trekking experience. After, you will be assigned to the gorilla group to trek ( Each gorilla family is visited by only 8 pax )  and by the lead of the park ranger, you will trail through the thick rain forests as you spot several species like birds, plants, insects, reptiles like the chameleons.

upon sight of the mountain gorillas, you will be allowed to spend an hour in their presence as you watch them play, feed and moving within their natural habitat. After, receive your trekking certificates. From there, join your driver/guide for your scenic drive on Lake Bunyonyi , proceed to Kigali  for your departure flight or drop off at your hotel for an overnight.
