2 Day Golden Monkey Habituation

Itinerary

The 2 Days Mgahinga Golden Monkey Habituation tour starts from Kigali with a simple city tour and drive to connect to Mgahinga National park in Uganda! You will have simple stop over at Volcanoes national park for the brief feel of Volcanoes National park which is located within the virunga Massif that are shared between Rwanda, Uganda and Democratic republic of Congo.

Day 1: Transfer from Kigali to Kisoro Town

You will be picked up by Rwanda Safaris guide and go for the simple Kigali city tour , connect to Volcanoes National Park for the great feel of the park local community and later proceed to cross the border to connect to Kisoro town.

Kisoro is the closed town to Maghinga National Park and its a popular town, ,most accommodations are in kisoro town .  You will be checked in at the hotel for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Golden Monkey Habituation & Transfer back to Kigali.

After Morning breakfast at the lodge , you will  head to the park headquarter for the briefing about the golden monkey habituation and how to behave while in the wilderness with the golden monkeys.

Unlike the Mountain Gorillas , golden monkey are shy animals and they are speedy , move fast.Golden Monkey Habituation is a new product for visitors to the park that allows them to have an insight and a better understanding of what it means to research, conserve, and protect an endangered species in the 21st century. Once done with golden monkey watching , you will head for lunch in the city and later proceed to cross the border and drive back to Kigali.
