Amakoro Songa
Amakoro Songa lodge Situated along the foothills of Kinigi town, Amakoro Songa lodge is a luxury accommodation facility providing a safe and secure stay to the ecotourists visiting the home of the endangered mountain gorillas – Volcanoes national park in Rwanda. The lodge stretches on a 7-acre plot of land surrounded by different volcanic mountains – Muhabura, Gahinga and Sabyinyo mountains. It comprises of 8 luxurious cottages that are beautifully designed and furnished with both local and modern pieces thus making the area classy and attractive to the guests.
The cottages are well equipped with a fireplace that provides warmth to the clients during the cold nights. Also, the lodge has an outdoor fireplace that allows guests to enjoy an evening drink with others as they enjoy the cultural performances like dances from Intore Dance Troupe.
The lodge contains a restaurant which serves best and healthy local cuisines since the chefs grow their own spices and vegetables in the gardens of the lodge. Other amenities in the rooms include coffee makers, free WIFI, en suite bathrooms, large and comfortable bedrooms with wardrobes, dressing mirrors and soft beds, Flat screen TVS plus telephones.
For the security of the area, Amakoro Songa lodge features fire extinguishers, CCTV outside the property and inside the common areas, gives you access to the key of your booked room, and also provides a 24-hour security.
