Upon arrival at Entebbe international Airport , you will be welcomed by the Rwanda Safaris guide who will transfer you to connect to hotel for the relaxation ; Upon arrival at the hotel you will be checked in, enjoy simple juice as the guide brief you about the entire trip . Relax at the lodge as you wait for the next day trip .

Day 2: Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park
After Morning breakfast, you will check out and start on the adventure journey to connect to Kibale Forest national park which is known for being the home to 13 Primates in Uganda . Rwanda Safaris guide will make various stop overs on the route as you will also visit the tea plantations , birds and other exciting watching things. You will stop in fortportal city for lunch and later visit the Toro kingdom palace for culture, later proceed to Kibale Forest national Park for dinner and overnight.
You will head to the park headquarter for the briefing about the unique primate watching experience in Kibale Forest National Park . Among the key Safari activities done in Kibale is the chimpanzee habituation tour where you stay with the chimpanzees for from morning to mid day . After the chimpanzee experience you will return to the lodge for lunch and in the afternoon you will visit the Bigodi walk where you will explore the various animals on the walk like the forest elephant and see other birds , later return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
You will set off from the lodge in the morning after breakfast to connect to Queen Elizabeth National Park passing through the crater lakes and the local community for the scenic view and climatic feel in the magical Kibale. You will proceed to arrive in Queen Elizabeth National Park the best destination for the tree climbing lions and the hippo watching. You will arrive at the time of lunch , enjoy lunch, proceed to go for the evening game drive where you will see the various animals, African elephant, African buffalo, Ugandan kob, hippopotamus, topi, water buck, warthog, giant forest hog, leopard, spotted hyena, chimpanzee and lion, After you will return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 5: Game drive & Boat cruise on Kazinga Channel
You will head for the morning game drive which lasts upto 10:30am and later return to the lodge for relaxation at the lodge as you enjoy the pool, enjoy lunch and in the afternoon go for the boat cruise on Kazinga Channel where you will spot other wildlife animals on the water bank and birds as they come to drive water. Dont miss to see the Nile crocodile. The boat cruise lasts for 2 hours and later return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 6: Game Drive in Ishaha Sector & proceed to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park ( Buhoma Sector )
You will wake up very early in the morning and start driving to ishasha sector the best sector in Queen Elizabeth National Park that hosts the tree climbing lions, and after you will stop for lunch in kihihi town before proceeding to connect to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park the home for the mountains in Uganda . It has four sectors which details the gorilla trekking lodge you will book once you have purchased the gorilla permit. You will be checked in at the hotel upon arrival . Buhoma Sector is located close to Queen Elizabeth National Park and its recommended mostly when your going for gorilla trekking but if its gorilla habituation , you will need to visit Rushaga Sector that has gorilla habituation permits.
Note: All the above lodges are for Rushaga sector and we shall be replacing them with the same quality hotels for any other sector that may have availability of the gorilla permit for your visit once trip is confirmed.
Day 7: Mountain Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi impenetrable National Park
After Morning breakfast at the hotel , you will transfer to the park headquarter for briefing about the gorilla trekking rules , regulation and registration of the details, conservation projects, reproduction and other facts about the mountain gorillas in bwindi , Later you will head into the jungle to search for the unique mountain gorillas which may last for 3-5 hours depending on their movement and the food availability in the park. Later you will return to the lodge for lunch , relax in the afternoon .
Optional : Community visit is available in the evening hours and its safe for your travel. Dinner and overnight as Above .
Day 8: Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi & Boat Cruise
After Morning breakfast , you will head to the lake Bunyonyi which is the deepest lake in Uganda and its located close to Kabale town on the way to connect to Kisoro Town , You will go for the boat cruise , visit the local communities and the lslands , later head for lunch and proceed to drive to kisoro town for your overnight stay in the Kisoro town .
Day 9: Second Gorilla Trekking in Mgahinga National Park
You will leave very early in the morning and drive to the Mgahinga National Park headquarter for the briefing about the mountain gorilla trekking rules and regulations as it was the case in Bwindi , later you will enter into the jungle to search for the gorillas, once found you will stay with them for one hour watching them feed, play. You will return to the lodge for lunch and later proceed to cross to Rwanda ( the land of thousand hills) where you will head to the volcanoes National park.
Day 10: Golden Monkey Tracking in Volcanoes National Park
You will head to the park headquarter in the morning hours for the briefing about the golden monkey tracking rules and regulations ,These Primates ( Golden Monkeys) which is also similar to the mountain gorilla trekking process , duration lasts btn 3-4 hours and return to the lodge for lunch and later proceed to the Ellen De Generes Campus that is the historical event that teaches about the Conservation of the Mountain Gorillas by Dian Fossey. You will make donations to the campus and later proceed back to the lunch for the dinner and overnight.
Day 11: Visit to the Twin Lakes & Transfer to Gisenyi
After morning breakfast at the lodge, you will visit the twin lakes , where you will do the boat canoe and later drive to Gisenyi for the second boat cruise on Lake kivu that is shared between Rwanda and Democratic republic of Congo with your Rwanda Safaris guide. You will check in at the hotel for the relaxation and dinner.

Day 12: Transfer to Bukavu in DR Congo
After relaxed morning breakfast at the lodge, you will be checked out and start on the drive to connect to Bukavu, During the drive you will enjoy scenic drive of the rolling hills of Rwanda , and you will cross to democratic republic of congo via Rusizi Border . Check in at the accommodations.
You will have breakfast at the hotel and and then transfer to the park headquarters for briefing and registration about lowland gorilla trekking in the East of Congo. You will drive from the park headquarter to the gorilla trekking start point and enter into the forest to search for the gorillas. After the gorilla watching in Kahuzi Biega National Park , You will start on the drive back to Bukavu for overnight stay.
Day 14: lwiro Chimpanzee Orphanage & Donations to Pole Pole Foundations
you will drive to lwiro chimpanzee sanctuary to visit to the chimpanzee orphanage center and make donations to the center that has contributed to the conservation of the Chimpanzees in DR Congo . After the chimpanzee experience , you will visit the pole pole foundation which is composed of Ex poachers and rangers for donation , and after return back to Bukavu for Dinner and overnight.
Day 15: Transfer to Bujumbura (Burundi )
The Rusizi border opens at 8;00am, Enjoy breakfast, you will head to cross to Rwanda for the connection to Burundi 's former capital city of Bujumbura where you will enjoy the over night stay . You will have lunch in Bujumbura city , later visit lake Tanganyika for the boat cruise and visiting the fishing villages where you will enjoy the local fish as you get to learn more about the historical back ground of the lake . This lake is shared by Tanzania and Burundi , its the port used for the importation and exports in Burundi .
Dinner and over at the best accommodation in Bujumbura City.
Day 16: Bujumbura City Tour & Lake Tanganyika Visit
After breakfast at the lodge you will head for the city tour of the largest city where you will visit the following , Burundi Zoo, Independence Monuments , Cementary, local markets and return to the lodge.
Day 17: Chimpanzee Watching in Kibira National Park.
You will enjoy your breakfast at the lodge and later transfer to the Kibira National park headquarter for briefing about the chimpanzee watching rules and regulations which are not different from those of Nyungwe forest national Park . Depending on the trekking location where the chimpanzees where sited, you will head into the jungle to search for the apes and once found you will stay with them for one hour and later transfer back to Gitega province.
You will arrive late evening at the lodge and check in .
You will have breakfast at the lodge and enjoy a relaxed morning to enable feel the city of Ngonzi , and after noon you will transfer to the Gitega Cultural experience that has been the target of the trip to Burundi with Rwanda Safaris. The Experience can last for hours depending on the appreciation of the Burundian Cultural practices . Later return to the lodge for relaxation in the Evening.
Day 19: Visit to Kerera Falls & Source of the Nile
You will wake and enjoy morning breakfast before heading for the nature walk to enable you visit the falls with strong water points as you will explore the five water falls of Nyakayi 1, Nyakayi 2, Karera 1, Karera 2 and Mwaro and even explore the source of the Nile in Burundi. You will head back to the hotel for early lunch and relax in the evening.
Day 20: Transfer to the Airport for the Flight Back home
After breakfast you start on the 6 hours drive to connect to Bujumbura International Airport for the flight back home.
