Trip Summary

Day 1 : Kigali City tour & transfer to Volcanoes National Park

Upon arrival at Kigali International Airport , you will be welcomed by the Rwanda Safaris guide and transfer you to the city for simple break and later start on the City tour to explore the genocide memorials , crafts and local markets , enjoy your lunch and later proceed to transfer to Volcanoes National park the home for the Mountain gorillas and golden monkey in the region . Its located within the virunga Mountains that are shared between Rwanda, Uganda & Democratic republic of Congo.

Upon arrival you will be checked in at the hotel booked by Rwanda Safaris.

Day 2: Golden Monkey Tracking & Transfer to Uganda

You will enjoy breakfast at the lodge  and head straight to the park headquarter for the briefing about the golden monkey tracking rules and regulations that are to be observed in the wilderness of Volcanoes National Park , later enter into the park to start on the search of the primates. Golden monkeys are unique only to Virunga mountains which are shared between Rwanda, Uganda & Congo as they live in the bamboo forests in the lower zones. The Golden Monkey trek is light compared to the Mountain Gorilla trekking in the Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. After this trek you will return back to the back for lunch and later proceed to cross the border into Uganda , the pearl of Africa that hosts the Mountain Gorillas and offers great chance to spot the gorilla watching experiences.

Day 3: Mountain Gorilla Trekking in Maghinga National Park

You will enjoy Breakfast , secure your packed lunch and transfer to Mgahinga National Park which is located in Virunga Mountains which is the home for the mountain gorillas, you register at the park headquarter , briefed about the rules and regulations to guide you as you trek the gorillas, later enter into the jungle of the gorillas which trek can last for 3-5 hours depending on the movement of the gorillas. Later once found you will have one hour watching them play and feed in the massif.

After you will return back to the hotel for hot lunch and later proceed to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park which is the second home for the Mountain Gorillas. Check in at the Hotel

Day 4: Gorilla Habituation experience in Bwindi

You will leave the hotel at 5:40 am and head to the park headquarter for the briefing about the gorilla Habituation rules to follow during your gorilla watching in Bwindi impenetrable National park with the ranger guide of Uganda wildlife authority. The gorilla Habituation experiences starts earlier than the gorilla trekking , you will be visiting the gorilla family that is not officially open for gorilla trekking , its always minimum to 4 pax visit per day . Once the gorillas are found , you will stay with them for 4 hours and later return to the lodge for lunch .

In the afternoon you will relax at the lodge or take a community nature walk in the forest.  Dinner and overnight as Above .

Day 5: Second Bwindi  gorilla Trekking.

After Morning breakfast , you will head back to the park headquarter for the registration for the gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park which is the second gorilla trek experience.The park ranger guide will allocate you a gorilla family that you will be visiting and later head to the jungle to search for these primates like it was the case in first gorilla trekking in Mgahinga National Park.  Once the primates are spotted , you will have one hour with the gorillas as you watch them play, feed in the jungle . Later return to the lodge for lunch , Later transfer to Lake Bunyonyi for overnight stay .

Day 6: Boat cruise on the deepest lake

After morning breakfast , you will head to the lake for the boat cruise on Lake Bunyonyi , visiting the key islands on the lake with the experienced boat operator and the local of the community within Kabale. After the boat cruise you will return to the lodge for relaxation .  Dinner and overnight as above .

Day 7 : Relaxation & Transfer to Kigali

You will transfer to Kigali in the afternoon ,crossing to Rwanda Via Katuna Border, you will enjoy lunch in Kigali. Later visit the other tourists attractions in Kigali before being dropped at the airport .

End of the trip.
